This index to the minutes of Dublin City Council is a Dublin City Council project and was carried out by Christian Keegan of Dublin City Library & Archive, with occasional assistance from relief staff.

The Dublin City Council Minutes record the work of the City Council and have been issued in printed format since 1881 to the present. From 1881 until 1987 each volume has been accompanied by its own printed index. Christian Keegan has combined all of these indices into one over-arching index, and for the first time it is possible to see the full range of topics debated by Dublin City Council over a period of 107 years.

Each subject search returns either an item number or page number which refers to the original printed minutes which are available for consultation in the Reading Room of Dublin City Library & Archive.
